Hello interweb, Nate here. So quite recently, a YouTuber by the moniker Kuro the Artist recently released a video in which he power scales all of Bens aliens from weakest to strongest. If you havent seen the video, you can check it out here. Being the mega Ben 10 fan I am, I had some issues with his scaling of these aliens. So I figured Id try it out for myself and list every single alien Ben has used from weakest to strongest. Now, some of my list will be similar to Kuros but I will have deviations here and there. Im using similar rules as his video (No fusions or Ultimate forms nor any future aliens) as to keep these consistent. Im also using the same tiering system he uses since thats honestly a really easy way for me to rank these aliens since I could just divide all these aliens among the different tiers and then organize them within each tier. So, lets start!
My main criticisms of Kuros video is I wasnt quite sure how they were tackling their scalings. What I mean by this is they didnt exactly define power in their power scaling. My idea of power is primarily the ability to cause massive amount of damage or the ability to overwhelm opponents with pure strength, be it plain old muscle or maybe some sort of elemental manipulation or attacks. I wasnt quite sure how they were defining it though. I know they had their tiering system and defined each tier so it shouldve been obvious from that, but when they put The Worst in tier 8 then that raises some confusions for me. Their argument was that The Worst is indestructible, which is true, and therefore should fit comfortably in tier 8. However, while The Worst may be indestructible, thats literally his whole gimmick. Tier 8 characters are capable of casually wiping out entire buildings and The Worst is just not capable of doing that. In terms of pure strength, hes easily below that of the average human.
In addition to this, I was confused by whether they where judging aliens based on their full potential, their current strength, or even how powerful they are in their average appearance. For example, Feedback is arguably one of Bens most powerful aliens since he was capable of absorbing an entire big bang (which, just a reminder, the big bang held ALL of the matter and energy currently floating around our universe) and releasing it as a beam. That means Feedback should, at his highest potential, be able to easily destroy planets, stars, or even solar systems. However, this is a very rare case since Feedback doesnt tend to have access to such a large amount of energy, which is probably why they decided to put him so low on the list. But then they placed Cannonbolt as Bens 10th most powerful alien and they justified this position by stating that if Cannonbolt developed enough momentum he could destroy mountains or possibly even planets. Which, ok fair enough, but again are we judging these aliens by their highest potential or are we judging them but their average capabilities?
Rulez
To avoid these same confusions, Im going to make my rules very clear from the get-go. If you have any questions or criticisms, please feel free to comment below and Ill try to address them.
- Ben prime aliens only
- No Ultimate aliens
- No Fusion aliens
- No alternate universe aliens
- No future aliens
- Im judging these characters by their greatest possible potential based on what weve seen in the show
- Meaning I am taking into account the most powerful feats each alien has performed on-screen. No speculations allowed.
- Hax are not going to be included in the consideration for this list. This list is based on pure strength alone.
- They explained Hax better in their video (so I recommend watching it to get a better idea of the concept) but essentially I am not taking into consideration the following abilities when ranking them: Mind control/possession, shapeshifting, time manipulation, or emotional manipulation.
- These abilities make power scaling somewhat difficult to measure since Hax can make a certain alien more threatening but that doesnt make them any more powerful. For example, whose stronger: Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers or Professor X? Well, Carol is obviously much more powerful but that doesnt necessarily means she would win a fight since Professor X could use his telepathy to win.
- Just to make it clear, these are the main abilities I am looking at when I am considering this scaling: physical strength, speed, elemental manipulations, and energy attacks. Some more minor abilities include: durability and intelligence. Yes, durability is a good way to measure a characters strength, but if they only have durability and they have no offensive abilities to back it up then they arent really powerful, are they?
Tier Basic Aliens that are roughly on par with a typical adult human
Below Average Human
Walkatrout
Powers:
- Able to breathe both on land and in water
- Slippery body
Walkatrout is probably Bens most useless alien. The only use he really has is maybe an escape artist since Walkatrout is slippery enough to squeeze through even toilets if necessary. One of Bens sillier aliens as well as his most useless alien.
Pesky Dust
Powers:
- Flight
- Dream manipulation
- Dream entering
Hax detected:
- Dream manipulation and entry
Pesky Dusts species, the Nemuina, are some of the most feared aliens in the galaxy. This is because they have the ability to make their target fall asleep and then can proceed to not only enter their dreams but control them. While this is a very scary ability, for power scaling it doesnt really count. For a one-on-one combat, Pesky Dust is not the alien to go with.
The Worst
Powers:
Kuro placed The Worst as a building level Tier 8 character due to The Worsts indestructible body. However, I feel like thats a very weak justification for placing him so high on the list. Sure, you cant kill or defeat The Worst through brute strength alone, but he definitely doesnt have the strength to beat you either.
Grey Matter
Powers:
Galvans are the most intelligent species in the galaxy. Because of this, I was almost tempted to place Grey Matter much higher on the list. After all, seeing other hyper intelligent characters in TV like Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty can pretty much show that if youre smart enough you can pretty much be a god. However, I decided against that temptation because Ben never really seem to utilize Grey Matters intelligence to its full potential. Meaning that Grey Matter, at a measly 5 inches tall, doesnt really stand a chance in a fair fight among your average human toddler.
Jury Rigg
Powers:
- Mechanical breaking and fixing
As his name implies, Jury Riggs primary ability consists of being able to rapidly break, fix, or even alter machinery at a rapid speed. Hes even been able to make motorcycles out of random parts or a cannon out of a food truck. Fun concept and fun to watch, but isolate him from any spare parts and hes more of a nuisance than a threat.
Average Human
Toepick
Powers:
Hax detected:
Toepick was named dropped in the original series by Bens future son, Ken. But he didnt get an official design until Ben Omniverse. What we got is a fat ogre looking thing with the ability to induce fear into anybody who sees his face. Unfortunately, thats really all he got going for him. Maybe he could even defeat Bens most powerful aliens with his ability, but thats why hax doesnt count.
ChamAlien
Powers:
- Invisibility
- Wall scaling
- Retractable tail stinger
ChamAliens primary ability is to turn himself invisible, making him most useful for stealth. In a battle, his primary strategy would be to surprise attack opponents by evading them. However, characters that can detect him using methods outside eye sight can take advantage of the situation.
Athlete Level
Kickin Hawk
Powers:
- Enhanced strength, speed, stamina
- Elbow blades and talons
Kickin Hawk is one of my least favorite aliens but he exists so we need to talk about him. Really he has very little going for him other than his blades and slightly above average physique. Not exactly the most impressive of Bens aliens and not even really that interesting in any other sense. He cant even fly! What gives?
Tier 9: Superhuman Aliens that are above the strength that a typical human is capable of achieving
Street Level
Mole-Stache
Powers:
Mole-Stache is a pretty stupid alien. His main abilities revolve around his mustache as hes able to manipulate it for various purposes. Hes able to extend them as fists and even twirl them around to fly like Tails from the Sonic series. Again, why couldnt they give him like sharp claws and a digging ability? Hes a f*cking mole!!! Cmon!
Ditto
Powers
I feel like Kuro kind of underestimated Dittos strength in his scaling video, cause Dittos a tad tougher then he gave him credit for. Not by much, but hes not below human. Ditto has the ability to clone himself seemingly without limit. His biggest weakness is that all of his clones are connected to each other. So if one Ditto gets hurt, they all feel the same pain. Kill one Ditto, you kill all the Dittos. This makes him pretty risky to use in battle, but by cloning himself enough he can overpower an opponent through sheer numbers.
Whampire
Powers:
- Flight
- Super strength
- Super speed
- Hypnosis
- Corrupturas Mind control parasites
- Bat form
Hax detected:
This is another odd one to me in terms of how Kuro ranked him. Hax aside, Whampire is still a pretty decent fighter being capable of fighting a small number of aliens all by himself. His strength alone makes him superhuman, granted probably not as strong as a traditional vampire.
Gutrot
Powers:
- Chemical synthesis and expulsion
Hax detected:
- Chemical synthesis and expulsion
Gutrot was introduced late into the series so his full abilities werent fully explored. He can synthesize various chemicals in his body and release it for a variety of effects. Tear gas, love pheromones, acid, etc.
Ball Weevil
Powers:
Ball Weevil can spit up balls of goo that can trap and dissolve debris caught up in its ball. Once Ball Weevil throws it at a target, the ball explodes. The bigger the ball, the bigger the explosion.
Ampfibian
Powers:
- Flight
- Can breathe under water and on land
- Stretchy limbs
- Electricity manipulation and conduction
- Electricity transformation
- Telepathy
- Intangibility
Hax detected:
AmpFibians species, the Amperis, are a race of jellyfish-like beings that can conduct, manipulate, and transform into electricity. They can even use the bioelectricity in an organisms brain to read their thoughts and transfer consciousness. Outside of these hax though, his electrical powers are probably enough to help in fights against lower level tier villains but thats about it.
Wildmutt
Powers:
- Enhanced strength
- Enhanced agility
- Strong jaws and sharp teeth
- degree detection via smell and sound
Wildmutt is one of the original 10 aliens Ben started out with when he first got the omnitrix and doesnt really make sense within the context of the series since Omniverse became a thing, but thats not very important at this moment. As you may have noticed, Wildmutt possesses no eyes making him essentially blind. Despite this, his sense of smell and hearing are so sensitive that he essentially has degree vision making it easier to fight multiple opponents at once and makes surprise attacks virtually impossible. Think Daredevil from Marvel Comics or Toph Beifong from Avatar: The Last Airbender. In addition to his unique senses, Wildmutt is much stronger than the typical human being as he can tear the roof off of cars with ease and shred through many of Vilgaxs robots with little difficulty.
Bullfrag
Powers:
- Enhanced Strength, speed, and durability
- Enhanced jumping
- Long strong tongue
Bullfrag is an Incursion, which is basically a species of alien frog Nazis (yes, I know they made that joke in the original video but its just a perfect description). Typical Incursions are actually quite weak but the Omnitrix gives Bens transformations the peak physique that a member of any species is capable of reaching. This gives Bullfrag great skills in hand to hand combat. In addition to that, his tongue serves as an easy long range attach which is strong enough to hold the Billions Tower sign.
Nanomech
Powers:
- Shrink to microscopic sizes
- Laser
- Flight
Nanomech is honestly one Bens most bizarre transformations since hes technically not even an alien. Hes a hybrid of human DNA mixed with a nanochip. Which doesnt even make any sense. Ben is a human so the Omnitrix cant transform him into a human, and nanochips are machines so they dont even have DNA? Regardless of this alien (can you even call him that when both his human half and nanochip half are from Earth?), Nanomech is actually a lot tougher then he looks. He can shrink down small enough to be unseen by the naked eye and his lasers are strong enough to harm a ToKustar. If you dont know what a ToKustar is, its Way Bigs species (look further down on this list) who can reach feet tall.
Wall Level
Stinkfly
Powers:
- Flight
- Slime expulsion
- Exoskeleton enhanced durability
- Abdomen blade and sharp pincers
Kuros placement of Stinkfly seemed weird to me. He placed him under Tier 8, which makes no sense to me since Stinkfly cant destroy a building. The primary reason I think Kuro placed Stinkfly so high on his list is because Stinkfly has been shown to be able to fly with Vilgaxs body weight in the air and his exoskeleton increases his durability more than most. However, Stinkfly is still not very strong in terms of brute strength so Im placing him lower on my list.
Wildvine
Powers:
- Elesticity
- Seed bombs
- Merge with plant life
- Regeneration
Hax detected:
Wildvine was one of the coolest aliens in the original series since hes literally a living plant. Wait, plants are livingsentient plant, there we go! He can stretch his limbs to entangle enemies and use seed bombs as his strongest offense.
Articguana
Powers:
- Ice breath
- Enhanced durability
Articguanas most useful ability is his ability to blow wind so cold it freezes everything it touches. Future Ben was capable of freezing water before Vilgax could even reach the surface and 16 year old Ben was able to freeze an entire river of lava in seconds.
Ripjaws
Powers:
- Enhanced strength
- Powerful jaws
- Sharp teeth and claws
- Can breathe underwater
Ripjaws was like my second favorite alien when I was a kid since he reminded me of a mermaid when he was underwater. A mermaid leaning less on the beauty side and more on the terrifying side, but whatever! He can swim very fast and his jaws are strong enough to rip through pretty much any form of metal.
Fasttrack
Powers:
- Super speed
- Enhanced strength
Fasttrack has been confirmed by the Man of Action to be much slower than the more famous XLR8 but is a tad stronger in terms of muscle as he was even capable of carrying two people in his arms without slowing down, and one of those people were roughly the size of a very muscular adult human male. I honestly just kind of think of him as Nightwing if Nightwing could run a few hundred miles an hour. While he may be fast, enemies with a keen eye have been able to stop him in his tracks. I havent been able to find any official max speed though so determining his full potential as somewhat difficult.
Brainstorm
Powers:
- Hyper intelligence
- Electricity production and manipulation
- Telekinesis via electricity manipulation
- Force fields via electricity manipulation
- Enhanced durability via exoskeleton
- Pincers
Brainstorm is Bens second smartest alien. While Grey Matter is still much smarter, Brainstorm is actually big enough and strong enough to do some combat and even has the ability to generate electricity from his mind to aid him. With this electricity, he can create force fields durable enough to withstand Ultimate Cannonbolt and can telekinetically lift objects the size of trains.
Small Building
Bloxx
Powers:
- Shapeshifting
- Regeneration
Hax detected:
Bloxx is Bens stupidest alien but not his weakest. Bloxxs entire gimmick is being made of legos (Im not kidding or exaggerating) and can therefore shapeshift by building himself into various shapes and sizes. However, hes not very strong as his builds break very easily.
Goop
Powers:
- Liquid biology
- Shapeshifting
- Regeneration
- Flight
Hax detected:
Goop is a living liquid and therefore can change his shape as easy as, well, a liquid. Despite this, he can make himself solid enough to restrain enemies and can even punch them with enough force to knock them quite a distance. On Kuros list, they placed Goop at Tier 7 which I feel like just overestimates Goops strength. After all, Tier 7 is the nuclear tier and there is no way Goop can withstand or exert a nuclear bomb.
Eye Guy
Powers:
- Degree vision
- Lasers
- Ice beams
- Fire blasts
- Electricity blasts
As his name suggests, Eye Guys body is covered in eyes. These eyes are able to produce various energy based attacks such as lasers, ice beams, and even lightning.
Ghostfreak
Powers:
- Intangibility
- Invisibility
- Possession
- Flight
- Telekinesis
- Tentacles
Hax detected:
Ghostfreak was a really hard transformation for me to decide where to rank him. His most threatening abilities comes in his ability to phase through solid matter and posses living things. However, possession is a hax and therefore doesnt count. But does he deserve the Tier 7 ranking Kuro gave him? To be honest, Im not sure. I feel like Kuro placed Ghostfreak so high because he probably could survive a nuclear blast given that he turns intangible. But I care more about the type of damage a character can exert, not just what they can withstand. What theyre able to withstand should be taken into consideration, but isnt the end all be all. So I decided to place him lower since take away his hax and hes not as threatening.
Tier 8: Urban Aliens capable of casually destroying a buildings or even cities
Building Level
Buzzshock
Powers:
- Electricity manipulation and conduction
- Flight
- Sonic scream
- Regeneration
- Duplication
Hax detected:
Buzzshock is a lot more powerful than he looks. He can turn himself into pure electricity and can also manipulate said electricity. He can duplicate himself either by being cut in half and regenerating or absorbing enough power to simply generate more of himself. When he gains enough energy to create multiple duplicates, he can easily cause massive damage by electrical energy strong enough to run a city or a sonic scream.
Water Hazard
Powers:
- Water generation
- Vapor absorption
- Exoskeleton enhanced durability
Water Hazard has two holes in each palm of his hands that he can use to shoot large bursts of water and his exoskeleton protects him from various attacks.
Clockwork
Powers:
- Time manipulation
- Time travel
- Time rays
Hax detected:
- Time manipulation
- Time travel
- Time rays
I originally was going to place this character much higher on this list cause Clockwork is actually a very powerful character. He can manipulate time which can allow him to run at super speeds, kind of like Hunter Zolomon aka the Reverse Flash. He can even time travel and age things to dust. The only issue is that these abilities, despite being powerful, are all haxy as sh*t. Can you even rank him higher when all of his abilities are haxed to crap? If I could, Id put this guy way higher. Hell, the last villain of the series was the same species and he was one of the most dangerous villains in the show. I would argue Clock Work is at least in the top 10 if his powers werent all haxes.
Rath
Powers:
- Super strength
- Retractable claws
Rath is one of the more fun aliens in Bens omnitrix. Hes complete brute strength and has an aggressive personality making more brutal then most aliens in a fight. He was even able to go toe-to-toe with a Tetramand/Human hybrid.
Blitzwolfer
Powers:
- Enhanced strength, speed, and durability
- Sharp claws and teeth
- Enhanced smell and hearing
- Sonic scream
Blitzwolfer is basically an alien werewolf. Hes a slightly humanoid wolf with all the traits of a wolf. Hes faster and strong and has claws and teeth to boot. What makes Blitzwolfer stand out is his sonic scream that is capable of lifting him in the air with two passengers. Kuro made the claim that Kevin 11 thousand (Kevin 11 in the future) used Blitzwolfers scream to practically shatter Diamondhead, but Im not sure if we could count that as Blitzwolfer or not. Its hard to determine since Kevin absorbed the abilities of 11 thousand aliens (hence the name) so can we really be certain that was Blitzwolfers sonic howl he used?
Shocksquatch
Powers:
- Enhanced strength
- Electricity manipulation and conduction
Shocksquatch is strong enough to city lamp posts out of the ground and swing it around with ease and can break concrete. His strength can be backed up by his electricity which enhances his attacks. He was even able to electrocute a Tetramand princess. Tetramands are Four Armss species and the females tend to be stronger than the males.
Frankenstrike
Powers:
- Super strength
- Electricity conduction
- Enhanced intelligence
Theres very little in terms of abilities that differentiates Frankenstrike from Shocksquatch. Both have superstrength enhanced by their electrical abilities. I only place Frankenstrike slightly higher on the list since I believe hes slightly stronger considering he can easily take out Techadon robots with a single punch. Plus, his DNA was extracted from Dr. Victor giving him a slightly higher intelligence.
Chromastone
Powers:
- Enhanced strength and durability
- Energy absorption
- Laser expulsion
- Flight
- Regeneration
Hax detected:
Chromastone is a living energy conductor. He can absorb energy into his body and release it in the form of rainbow energy blasts (gayy). Despite his durability, he has been shattered twice in the past but can regenerate.
Snare-oh
Powers:
- Shapeshifting
- Bandage manipulation
- Enhanced strength, speed, and durability
- Regeneration
Hax detected:
I was actually surprised Snare-oh reached this high. I thought Id put him at tier 9, but he makes more sense under tier 8 when all his feats are considered. After all, a member of his species went toe-to-toe with XLR8 and Snare-oh is strong enough to contain a princess Tetramand.
Spidermonkey
Powers:
- Enhanced strength, speed, durability, and agility
- Enhanced smell and hearing
- Wall crawling
- Web production
Im sorry, Spidermonkey is one of my favorite Ben 10 aliens. After all, hes a six legged blue monkey with Spider-mans power set. Ugh, I love this cute lil guy! But there is no way Spidermonkey is tier 7. Spidermonkey was clearly a tier 8 character to me, but where in tier 8 was the question. Ultimately, I decided to out him as the strongest member of the building level group since I think that spot suits him the best. Hes strong enough to bat Ultimate Kevin with a lamp post, agile enough to fight multiple enemies at once, and his webs can help immobilize enemies. Like I said, hes basically Spider-man if Peter was a blue monkey.
City Block Level
Upchuck
Powers:
- Can consume any inorganic object
- Explosive spit bombs
- Four long tongues
I was so confused with Kuros placement of Upchuck on his list. He placed Upchuck not only as tier 10, but below the average human. Despite this, he even stated that Upchuck swallowed and spit out a bomb the strength of a dwarf star and even destroyed Mt. Rushmore. I wasnt aware the average human was stronger than a dwarf-star-spitting alien capable of the destruction of four giant statues. I almost placed Upchuck higher on this list since he did swallow and spit out an explosion the size of a star, buuuuut weve only seen him destroy something as large as Mt. Rushmore and nothing bigger then that. So I figured Id place him here.
Terraspin
Powers:
- Wind manipulation and tornado generation
- Flight
- Enhance durability
This is another character that confused me on Kuros list since his ranking seemed to contradict their description of Terraspins power level. They placed him as a tier 9, superhuman, and then went on to talk about how Terraspin could create tornadoes capable of destroying city blocks. Hmm, it seems as though the city block level is a little higher than superhuman! I dont know if Im misunderstanding them or what, but the contradictory placement and description confused me.
Multi-City Block Level
Armodrillo
Powers:
- Super strength and durability
- Earthquake generation via jackhammer arms
- Enhanced digging
They placed Armodrillo under building level, which I was fine with considering his feats shown in the show. However, one of the creators stated that Armodrillo is apparently stronger than base Humungousaur. Im unable to find said source and none of his feats seem to support this claim, so maybe Im pulling this out of my *ss. However, Andreas, the alien Armodrillos DNA was sampled from, did survive a machine capable of destroying multiple city blocks (by the way, that was a very sad episode).
Upgrade
Powers:
- Liquid metal biology
- Shapeshifting
- Laser beam
- Machine possession
- Technology manipulation
Hax detected:
Upgrades main ability is his ability to control machines of all forms and enhance them to amp of their strengths. He can take your broken down car and turn it into a tricked-out war vehicle on par with the Batmobile (btw, if Batman and Ben 10 ever has a crossover and Ben doesnt Upgrade the Batmobile, then there will be no point to that crossover). Even despite the hax, Upgrade is still super strong. Being made out of liquid metal and can shapeshift into a variety of weaponry.
Tier 7: Nuclear Aliens capable of withstanding or producing the strength of a nuclear bomb
Town Level
Eatle
Powers:
- Enhanced strength and durability
- Enhanced ingestion
- Laser production
Me and Kuro both agree that Eatle is basically Upchuck but stronger. However, Kuro placed Eatle at building level tier 8 despite admitting that Eatle was able to go toe-to-toe with Dagon infused Vilgax. DAGON INFUSED VILGAX. Holy sh*t, how can he not at least be tier 7? I was tempted to put him higher, but it just didnt feel right.
Swampfire
Powers:
- Super strength
- Regeneration
- Fire production
- Plant manipulation
- Sleep induction
Hax detected:
Swampfire is a whole lot stronger than I remember him being. Not only is he strong enough to take on both a Kineceleran (XLR8)/human hybrid and a Tetramand (Four Arms)/human hybrid, but he can also knock over a Highbreed weather tower. That plus he can generate flames from his palms, but he cant manipulate them. Hes kind of a lamer version of Heatblast mixed with a slightly cooler version of Woldvine.
Astrodactyl
Powers:
- Flight
- Super speed
- Star power whips
- Star power lasers
- Star power shock waves
Yeah, I doubt Astrodactyl is Bens 11th strongest alien. I dont even think his feats have shown that hes anywhere close to that. However, he has some sort of star power he utilizes so I guess tier 7 is a good spot for him.
City Level
Crashhopper
Powers:
- Enhanced jumping
- Durable skull
Kuro placed Crashhopper at mountain level, but Im not quite convinced hes that powerful. However, he is strong enough to jump multiple miles in the air and hes capable of destroying missiles just by jumping into them. However, one thing I found a little funny was the fact that Kuro stated Four Arms could defeat Princess Looma (remember, female Tetramands are usually stronger) and placed Four Arms under Crashhopper, yet Princess Looma easily defeated Crashhooper like he was a measly bug. So Im not quite convinced of this mountain level capabilities.
Lodestar
Powers:
- Magnetism
- Flight
- Regeneration
Hax detected:
Create an alien Magneto, and you have Lodestar. I almost placed Lodestar as Mountain level, but I decided against it because we really havent seen him perform feats that powerful. Id say his most impressive feat was his battle against the Naljian Destructor, a 20+ level piece of tech used by the Naljians (which are easily tier 3 and might even be tier 2). However, Lodestar didnt defeat the Destructor alone and only served to open the machine up long enough for the weak spot to be attacked. Although, it would be cool to see Lodestar use his magnetism to the extremes like Magneto likes to do. Although, I have a feeling Magneto is miles more powerful.
Mountain Level
XLR8
Powers:
Bens signature speed alien isnt actually his fastest. Although I feel like Kuros team mightve underestimated him anyways. They stated that at 10 years old, XLR8 was able to run at about mph. And Ive seen other sources, such as the Ben 10 wiki, spit out this number too. I would say thats probably an average speed (which is quite impressive) but in one episode he was able to run fast enough that he couldnt be seen with the naked eye. To do this, he would have to be running at over mph. Thats even faster than the speed of sound! Not quite as fast as the speed of light though. I tried to do the calculations to see how much force he could exert at those speeds (F=MA^2 and all that) but I fucked it up and I dont feel like redoing it. I suspect that type of speed would be enough to do some serious mountain level damage, but Im actually not % sure. So Im placing him as the weakest alien under mountain level just as a fall back. If hes not mountain level, then Ill default him to city level.
Cannonbolt
Powers:
- Super durable shell
- Ball form
Cannonbolt was ranked as Bens 10th most powerful alien for them. I can agree with their tier placement for him as with enough momentum Cannonbolt probably could destroy a mountain. However, that requires a lot of momentum to be built up and unless hes falling from orbit thats probably not going to happen quite often.
Four Arms
Powers:
They f*cking nerfed Four Arms on their list. Building level tier 8? Really??? Four Arms is capable of going toe-to-toe with some of Bens most powerful villains like full-strength Aggragor, Vilgax, and Kevin He can pluck missiles out of mid-air, force them to change direction, and use them to fly. He can create earthquakes by punching the ground or create shock waves by clapping his hands. He can even defeat a a female Tetramand, and female Tetramands can toss around male Tetramands like rag dolls. Four Arms. Is. A. BEAST!
Jetray
Powers:
- Flight
- Hyperspace level speeds
- Underwater breathing
- Neuroshock lasers
I was surprised that Jetray was so high on their list when I watched it for the first time. I can see why they placed him so high, but top 10 still seems a big much imo. Jetray is easily Bens fastest alien as he can enter hyperspace like we can go 40 mph in a car. And his lasers are strong enough to defeat the Hand of Armeggedon, which created the grand canyon. That feat alone is why I agreed with Jetrays status as mountain level.
Heatblast
Powers:
- Fire creation and manipulation
- Flight
- Enhance strength and durability
Heatblasts species, the Pyronites, live on a sun. So naturally, they are adapted for extreme temperatures. At age 10, Heatblast was capable of being thrown through multiple buildings with relatively little harm and could melt asphalt in a matter of seconds in order to slowdown Vilgax. Since then, hes gotten stronger with age and has been shown to be able to face Vilgax even better in later series.
COUNT DOWN FOR TOP 10 MOST POWERFUL ALIEN
Diamondhead #10
Powers:
- Enhanced strength and durability
- Regeneration
- Shapeshifting and weapon formation
- Crystal manipulation
Hax detected:
Diamondhead has been one of Bens strongest aliens since the original series and has only gotten stronger from there. With each new series that the Ben 10 franchise has made, Diamondhead has only gotten stronger. Before Ben Alien Force, the only alien to single handed defeat Vilgax was the alien Way Big who threw Vilgax into space in the first movie. Diamondhead was the second alien capable of defeating Vilgax all by himself by crushing him under multiple giant pillars of levitating crystals. Placing Diamondhead under building level is a great disservice to his strength imo.
Echo Echo #9
Powers:
Oh look, the not-Ditto. Yeah, hes probably not island level but I have to admit he is way up there. Since Echo Echo can create a sonic scream and duplicate, he could team up to scream a mountain to dust. But destabilize an island? Probably only in his Ultimate form and theres no Ultimates allowed on this list.
Tier 6: Tectonic Capable of destabilizing the continental crust of a small island or even a continent
Island Level
Humungousaur #8
Powers:
- Super Strength and surability
- Size alteration
- Strength boost
When going over Humungousaur, Kuros team argued that Humungousaur could arguably be dwarf star level in strength. I feel like thats an exaggeration, but hes definitely strong enough to destroy a mountain. Id even argue he could probably destroy an entire island without going Ultimate, hence my placement here. The creators in the past has stated that Humungousaur is strong enough to lift Way Big. Weve only seen Ultimate Humungousaur perform this feat on-screen, but considering how insanely powerful Ultimate Humungousaur is, regular Humungousar could probably achieve that same feat. And thats in his base form! Hes able to grow from 12 feet tall to 60 feet tall and his strength can be multiplied by up to 6times! Now, Im usually not really into versus battles since I find them boring and pointless, but I would really love to see an MCU Hulk vs Humungousaur battle. Im using MCU Hulk because I feel like comic book Hulk is just too powerful to be a fair fight. Comic book Hulk has gone world breaker and can reach planetary levels of strength, MCU Hulk hasnt quite reached that yet.
NRG #7
Powers (in suit):
- Enhance strength and durability
- Radiation production (limited)
- Heat conduction
Powers (out of suit):
- Radiation production
- Flight
- Intangibility
- Enhanced speed
NRG is made out of pure radiation and requires a containment suit in order to not harm those around him. Outside of said suit, his radiation is no longer inhibited and hes basically flying around with more energy than a nuclear explosion.
Country Level
Big Chill #6
Powers:
- Flight
- Intangibility
- Invisibility
- Ice breath
- Ice manipulation
When I saw Kuro place Big Chill under tier 6, I thought he was way off. Until he mentioned that Big Chill made it snow in the Null Void. I looked it up, and hes right! So if he was able to make it snow in the Null Void, he very well must be a country level alien. Which, judging by his skilled abilities to generate and manipulate his ice, how powerful even is Ultimate Big Chill? Yeesh, I doubt weve even scratched the surface with him.
Tier 5: Planatary Aliens capable of exert or endure the power to destroy a planet the size of Earth
Small Planet Level
Gravattack #5
Powers:
Kuro placed Gravattack as mountain level, and at first glance that seems to be a good place to put him considering most of his feats. However, at one point Gravattack accidentally made a black hole which was in the process of destroying Earth! Do you know how many Gs are necessary to make a black hole? Like, a lot! I was actually thinking about putting him at tier 4, but to be fair we dont know how big the black hole wouldve gotten if time wasnt altered. So heres tier 5 for just accidentally making a black hole.
Large Planet Level
Atomix #4
Powers:
- Super strength, speed, and durability
- Radiation generation and manipulation
- Flight
The funny thing about Atomix, the creators of the show has stated that Atomix is Bens second most powerful transformation right behind Alien X. So if youre the type of person who takes the creators words as gospel, then both Kuro and I are wrong. Kuro placed Atomix as the third most powerful of Bens aliens, I have him as 4. But dont get me wrong, Atomix is a heavy hitter. He bats around Ultimates like their nothing and Ultimates are WAY stronger than most aliens.
Tier 4: Stellar Aliens capable of wiping out entire stars
Star Level
Way Big #3
Powers:
- Super strength, speed, and durability
- Couple hundred feet tall
- Arm laser
- Cosmic storm manipulation
Other than Atomix, Way Big is the only alien that can really bat around Ultimate aliens like theyre every day chumps. Although his size is somewhat inconsistent throughout the show (sometimes hes about three times taller than a typical house, other times hes taller than a sky scraper), his official height is stated to be feet tall. He can throw enemies his size into orbit and shoot lasers stringer than those capable of destroying planets. No wonder these guys live in actual cosmic storms.
Solar System Level
Feedback #2
Powers:
- Energy absorption
- Energy expulsion
This is probably my most controversial pick, but I stand by it. Granted, Just A Robot (who was narrating this section of Kuros video) seemed to agree with me as he stated that Feedback is only Bens second strongest under certain conditions. And while thats true, thats still Feedbacks max potentially! He held a big bang in his hands and then shot the energy. Let me remind all of you what a big bang is: a big bang is a singularity that contained all of the matter and energy in the universe before it became the universe we have today. Honestly, I kinds debated on putting Feedback as Tier 3. If he can shoot a Big Bang, could he wipe out entire galaxies?
Tier 3: Cosmic Aliens capable of wiping out entire galaxies
Tier 2: Multiversal Aliens capable of wiping out entire timelines or universes
Tier 1: Extradimensional Beings beyond or three dimensional capabilities
Alien X #1
Powers:
Alien X is essentially alien god. He can manipulate reality however he pleases. He has even created an entire universe! His only downside is the fact that he has three personalities in his mind and 2/3 of his personalities need to agree on an action before performing it. But considering how he can literally due whatever he wanted so long as those personalities agree, thats god tier abilities right there.
What did you think?
So, this was somewhat of a partial response to Kuros video. So, Id recommend watching his video and seeing who you agree with more. Maybe I dont know shit about power scaling and this entire post was a waste of time. or maybe my scaling makes more sense than his did. Please, let me know what you think in the comments below!

Ben 10 Fan Blog — An Introduction to Power Scaling
Last Updated: 8/20/20
Who would win in a fight: Character X or Character Y? These types of questions can be found all over the internet by people wanting to pit powerful character against each other in a fight and see who would claim victory over the other. But what’s the best way to determine the victor of these battles? After all, these are fictional characters and can do anything their writers want them to do at any given moment. What is the most accurate way to determine a character’s strength and compare them to a character from outside their fictional universe?
This is where the art of Power Scaling comes in. Power Scaling is the act of using the feats of a certain character to determine where they can be placed on the hierarchy of power. The more powerful a character is, the more damage they can do. Power Scaling is a tool that allows people to compare characters that have never interacted in canon before to determine the most likely outcome of a battle.
The most popular tiering system is the one found on Vs Battle wiki that can scale characters from those roughly on par to a normal human to gods capable of wiping out entire omniverses. This scaling system can be applied to any fictional character in - well - fiction, and can help compare the strengths of these characters to other characters from different universes. My goal here is to give a decent introduction to how this tiering system works in order to scale every one of Ben’s transformations using this system. By doing this, we can more accurately judge how powerful Ben is as a character and just what he is capable of.
My ultimate goal in scaling Ben;s aliens is to determine the potential of each transformation and give easy to digest information for people interested in understanding more about Ben’s true potential. I’ll describe more how I plan on doing this as we go, but for now know that I’m mainly doing this to demonstrate just how powerful each character is,
One thing to keep in mind: I am a noob when it comes to power scaling and some of the more mathematical side of power scaling is a struggle to me. Because of this, I always will wish for people to correct me when I make mistakes so I can hopefully create more accurate and reliable scales for these aliens. I do wish for these scales to be as accurate as possible to the alien’s true potential but keep in mind that I am bound to make mistakes and you’re likely to disagree with my conclusions. I am doing this largely for fun as well as just being a fan of Ben 10 in general. I know I won’t be able to satisfy everybody, but I will do my best!
Introduction to the Tiering System (Link)
The Tiering System is the heart of power scaling. The power level a character is found in represents just how powerful a character is and how much damage they are able to do (keep in mind that power =/= strength, a good example of this is that Four Arms is stronger then Heatblast but Heastblast is more powerful). For example: a character that can be identified as 5-B Planet Level (often nicknamed a “Planet Buster”) means that they can create or destroy a planet the size of Earth. When we scale a character to this level we are measuring their Attack Potency, which is the amount of energy that a character can dish out. For the most accurate scaling, one may use a calculation of a character’s destruction in order to find the amount of Joules of energy used in an attack and rank the character accordingly. Because I suck at math, usually I simply try my best to determine the amount of energy released simply by what was destroyed by an attack. For example, if a character busted through a wall then they would at least be 9-B Wall Level. If a character destroyed a planet, they’d be 5-B Planet Level. You get the picture.
Now here’s where the actual power scaling comes into play. Let’s say we have a character name Sam. In this story, Sam managed to destroy an entire planet with a single attack. Obviously, this would place him at 5-B Planet Level. Now let’s introduce another character into this story. Her name is Alex. Now Sam and Alex enters a battle and Alex just mops the floor with Sam. Because Alex had demonstrated to be more powerful then Sam, we can safely conclude that Alex is also at minimum 5-B Planet Level character even though we never witnessed Alex destroy a planet on-screen. Now keep in mind that this simply makes Alex fall into the same tier as Sam not the tier above Sam. This is because not every tier has the same strength difference between their weakest point and their strongest point. The weakest Planet Level characters can release x10^32 Joules of energy while the strongest can release x10^34 Joules of energy; any higher and they’d be considered 5-A Large Planet Level. That roughly x difference in strength! So because of this if we say Alex is 5x stronger then Sam, that would make Alex stronger then Sam but not an entire tier stronger.
Also, keep in mind that durability is also a factor in Power Scaling. Durability is the act of withstanding an attack from another character with minimal damage. If I have a laser capable of destroying planets and I shoot Alex with it but she survives the laser, that makes her durability 5-B Planet Level. Now here’s where I’m going to deviate from Vs Battle Wiki a bit. According to the Vs Battle Wiki’s durability page, “characters capable of physically achieving a certain degree of energy output, must be able to at least withstand a comparable amount of damage, or their bodies would break apart from the strain and automatic counterforce”. In other words, if Alex would to shoot a laser that can destroy planets than her durability must match or else Alex’s body would break under the force of her own attack. It’s the basic rule of physics that every action has an equal yet opposite reaction. In theory, this makes sense! However…
For my Ben 10 Power Scaling, I’m going to be ignoring this rule and measuring the Attack Potency and Durability of the characters separately. Here’s why: this rule completely ignores the possibilities of glass cannons: characters with high attack but low defenses. They can dish out a lotta damage, but a single punch may knock them out cold. Let’s use a Ben 10 example for this: Clockwork. In the episode “And Then There Was Ben”, Clockwork easily reversed the effects of the Chronosapien Time Bomb that wiped out the Ben 10 Omniverse. This feat alone would make Clockwork’s Attack Potency 2-B Multiverse Level. Despite this, many may remember that Clockwork was incapacitated by Captain Nemesis’s gauntlet in the episode “Catch a Falling Star”. If Clockwork’s durability was equal to or greater then his Attack Potency, that gauntlet should’ve been useless against him or a shot from that gauntlet would’ve destroyed the entire universe and then some. Perhaps under real world physics, Clockwork’s body should’ve shattered to pieces in his attempt to bring back the multiverse. However, that’s just now how fiction works. Because of this, I will be measuring durability feats as separate from attack potency in order to take glass canons into account.
Finally, there is a character’s speed. While speed is important in vs battles, to simplify things I will only be mentioning an alien’s speed if it’s a. relevant or b. impressive enough to mention. This is just to simplify my analysis a bit more by focusing on how much damage a character is able to endure and dish out.
Who can be scaled?
Any fictional character is capable of being scaled under this tiering system. Now keep in mind, different universes work under different rules based on the nature of the universe. Here’s a fun example! How powerful is Bugs Bunny? Well…Bugs Bunny is capable of injuring Yosemite Sam. How powerful is Yosemite Sam? In a battle between Yosemite Sam and Marvin the Martian, the fight ended in the creation of two constellations being formed. This would make both Yosemite and Marvin the Martian 4-C Star Level and Bugs Bunny would scale up to both of them.
Now keep in mind, Loony Tunes is a cartoon more focused on comedy then action. So cartoon physics and slapstick is obviously going to be present in these cartoons. Ben 10 is a more action oriented cartoon and is thus grounded in some form of reality. Bugs Bunny may be Star Level, but he’s fuckin Bugs Bunny.
Now that I explained how the tiering system works, here’s a few other things to keep in mind…
Just because a character is in a higher tier does not mean they win
There’s a few reasons for this, but it is important to take note. Lets say Character A is a Planet Buster and Character B is only a City Buster, you’d think Character A would automatically win…but what if Character B is faster and is a trained warrior and is thus able to incapacitate Character A despite how much more powerful Character A is. Bane may be more powerful then Batman, but Batman is a trained martial artist and has demonstrated the ability to defeat opponents much stronger then himself. Attack Potency is simply the amount of damage a character is capable of, but if they’re not very fast or don’t know how to use that power then they may lose to a weaker character. There’s a difference between having power and knowing how to use it.
Haxes
To put it simply, Haxes are unscalable abilities that do not effect a character’s power or durability. Abilities such as telepathy, shapeshifting, dream manipulation, regeneration, fear induction, etc. Yes, two characters may have these abilities and one may be superior to the other (I.E. both Beast Boy from DC Comics and Mystique from Marvel have shapeshifting powers but Mystique can turn into anything she wants and Beast Boy can only turn into green animals), but these abilities don’t typically effect how powerful a character is.
Outliers
Because these are fictional characters, sometimes writers will make a crazy situation happen that just doesn’t make sense due to the strengths of the characters involved. Comic books are infamous for having crazy shit happen all the time due to the decades of history involved. Like the time Batman kicked the freaking Spectre! A multiverse level character! Does this mean Batman is a Multiverse Level character now and scales to the Spectre???? Well, no…this is the case of a writer doing something crazy with the characters and making them do something they shouldn’t be able to do.
Outliers don’t happen often in Ben 10 so I doubt this will be relevant, but I figured I should explain what they are just to be safe. If I ever decide to count a feat as an outlier, I’ll do my best to explain why and how. Basically if a certain feat contradicts what is previously known about a certain alien, I may consider it an outlier and discount it towards the character’s scaling. This shouldn’t happen often, but who knows!
“Word of God” Vs “Death of the Author”
This is where we might get into some controversy. “Word of God” and “Death of the Author” are two opposing theories on how to read literary works but can apply to any work of fiction.
“Word of God” is the idea that the author of the story is the ultimate decider of what is and isn’t canon. If an author of a story says that something is canon to the story itself, then that means it applies to the universe and characters regardless of whether or not the fact is in the text. The idea behind this is that the author is the god of their fictional universe so obviously whatever they say about their fictional work applies to it, right?
“Death of the Author” is the exact opposite of this. The idea behind “Death of the Author” is that if the writer failed to include a detail into the text of the story then it is not canon to the story itself. This is because one should be able to enjoy a piece of art without any prior knowledge of the author behind said story. After all, nobody wants to do homework on the creators of a TV show in order to enjoy a TV show (unless of course your a fuckin nerd like me).
Here’s a brilliant example of these two theories at work: is Dumbledore from Harry Potter gay? If we take the “Word of God” approach to interpreting literature, then yes Dumbledore is indeed gay because JK Rowling has confirmed this to be the case. She is the goddess of the Harry Potter universe and therefore anything she says goes when interpreting the text of Harry Potter. Despite this, nothing in the actual text confirms or even hints at Dumbledore’s sexuality so if you never heard that the author confirmed this outside the text there is no way of knowing this fact about the character. The text explicitly state that magic exist, so this is canon to the Harry Potter universe regardless of which literary interpretation you chose to accept. But Dumbledore being gay is completely dependent on how legitimate you wish to take Rowling’s claims.
How does this apply to Ben 10? Well, I like to compare Ben 10 to a comic book series often and that’s both good and bad. Ben 10 classic has four shows within it’s canon: Ben 10 (), Ben Alien Force, Ben Ultimate Alien, and Ben Omniverse. In addition to having four shows, multiple people have worked on shaping the Ben 10 canon to what it looks like today. Many retcons exist within the show, many writers disagree with each other on what is and isn’t canon, and often times a writer may completely contradict canon in order to push their vision of how they wish the show to be viewed and interpreted. Way Big demonstrated to have super speed in “The Widening Gyre”? Well, according to a particular writer, this power was a glitch and shouldn’t be taken legitimately! Now if you never read this “glitch” fact online, you would never know this. After all, it’s right in the show! It’s clearly canon because you can see it on-screen and no character has ever mentioned the existence of glitch powers before ever!
So, how does one interpret the canon of Ben 10 Classic when writers contradict the “text” of the show as well as sometimes contradicting other writers involved with the show? Should we dismiss them completely and take the “Death of the Author” approach?
I’m opting to meet somewhere in the middle. I will primarily take the “Death of the Author” approach to interpreting the Ben 10 classic canon. If a feat is demonstrated on-screen, then that is canon to the show regardless of what any author says. With that being said, I will mention Word of God if it builds on canon rather then contradicts canon. Way Big has super speed because this has been demonstrated multiple times on-screen. However, Matt Wayne has confirmed that Humungousaur is capable of lifting a To’Kustar in base form; and nothing in canon contradicts this (despite this never being demonstrated on-screen) so I will accept it as canon. This, in my eyes, is the best possible way to interpret the canon of Ben 10 classic and it is how I’ll be approaching this series of alien analysis.
Vs Battle Wiki and Ben 10
I wanted to point out here that Vs Battle Wiki, while a useful tool to learn about Power Scaling, is pretty unreliable in my opinion when it comes to scaling Ben’s transformations. Sometimes it’s ok, but they tend to scale different characters very inaccurately. I’m sorry, but Kickin Hawk is NOT Mountain Level. In my opinion, you can dismiss a lot of their Ben 10 scaling as they just don’t accurately reflect the power of Ben’s transformations.
Ben 10 Alien Analysis
Now the format of these analysis may change as time goes on depending on how I feel best fit the information I’m trying to share. With that said, here’s the general format I’ll most likely be using for these analysis. I decided to scale Danny Phantom as an example so you guys have a general idea of what I plan to do here. Just as an fyi, this is a very lazy scaling here just cause I wanted to get a general idea of the format out. My Ben 10 analysis should be a bit nicer than this.
I’ll try my best to list multiple feats from a character as well as the scaling of those feats. This means you should have a reference for why I scaled a character as I did so I’m not just tossing out numbers and leaving you confused. My listed feats will also serve as a quick and easy look to see some of the things the character has done in the show. The official tier I scale a character to is a demonstration of their attack potential, not durability.

Tier: 4-A Multi-Solar System Level
Abilities:
- Ghost Transformation: Able to transform back and forth between ghost and human form
- Super strength
- Enhanced Durability
- Super speed (Top speed stated to be mph or km/h in “Maternal Instincts”, likely faster by end of series)
- Flight
- Invisibility
- Intangibility
- Possession
- Ghost Rays
- Force Field
- Ghostly Wail
- Cryokinesis
- Ghost Sense
- Self-Duplication
Weaknesses:
- Anti-Ghost Weapons
- Blood Blossoms: Neutralizes and weakens ghosts
- Ectoranium: Ghost-Kryptonite (literally)
Noticeable Feats:
- Created a large crater with his ghost rays - DPSxEy (8-A, calc)
- Fought on par with Undergrowth - DPS3E6 (6-C)
- Defeated Dan Phantom - DPS2E (4-A)
Durability Feats:
- Survived an impact strong enough to create a large crater - DPS1E1 (8-A, calc)
- Endured attacks from Dorthea the dragon ghost - DPS2E14 (7-C)
- Survived attacks from Vortex - DPS3E4 (6-C)
Again, I may change the format of my analysis as I work through these aliens as Ben does have ish aliens that he used on-screen and a lot could change between now and then.
As I work through these aliens, I will list them below in order of where I scaled them to (strongest at the top, weakest at the bottom) and link you to each analysis I do. If I make any mistakes with my analysis, I will update the alien as well as their placement on the list. Because I may be updating these analysis (and I’ll definitely be updating the list below) you can know whether or not you have the updated list by the date at the very top of each page.
The order I do these analysis will be more so correlated to how easy it is for me to scale them rather than any particular order. Sure, it would be nice to go strongest to weakest, weakest to strongest, or just in the order of their debut episodes. However, some aliens are just much easier to scale then others and as a result I’ll be doing them in pretty much whatever order I feel like. With that being said, feel free to request a particular alien at any time and I will do my best!
If you have any questions, feel free to comment or DM me and I’ll do my best to help out any way I can! I hope this introduction was informative and helpful to anyone reading this!

Power scaling the new Ben 10 aliens in the reboot
here's content
Shock rock:
Can absorb energy (such as vilgax eye beams) and also shape his electricity in many shapes, having indestructible stone armor and possess enhanced strength, and even if he wasn't trained yet, the species can generate wormholes, in the future, (Ben 10k) shock rock abilities most likely reached their maximum potential and most likely can summon wormholes, even without the wormholes at his max potention he can be as strong or even stronger than four arms and also will be able to take lots and lots of hits.
Strength: 8/ Possibly 8,5/10
Slapback
Ben 10 new cloning alien and his 2nd strongest, he can clone to an unknown amount, even if in a episode of carton network on their YouTube where we explore their planet, they most likely can clone to an infinite amount, tho nobody would allow Ben to do that. Still Slapback clones aren't linked in any way
The more he clones, the more they become smaller, stronger, denser and more durable, and Slapback can also become as dense as a black hole
(he also needs his back touched to clone)
General strength: /10
If allowed to clone pass like /10
Bashmouth
He can generate metel from his body, even tho it has only been shown for teeth and his hands, a metal so dense it hurt four arms. He is also extremely agile and strong to handle both Four arms and Humungousaur in hand to hand combat, his normal teeth are able to discomfort Humungousaur and his metal ones can bite trough concrete, demolishing buildings by just roaring.
Even if he has a insitict like Rath, everytime he smells or sees food he eats he will most likely put the fighting aside, but if there is absolutely nothing around, he is Kevin strongest aliens and if Ben gets his hands on him, he could be his strongest alien with Humungousaur so far.
Strength:9/10
