Job Requirements:

• 3 months recent experience working in a distribution center or warehouse a plus
• Able to work 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts
• Able to carry, twist, push, pull products and lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand, walk and bend for the entire shift
• Experience working with technology – RF scanners, warehouse computers a plus
• Able to follow written and verbal work instructions
• Able to count accurately

Provide routine reference and reader's advisory service to patrons and assist them with catalog, Internet, computer software, fax, and copier questions at other public service desks. Participate in outreach and programming. Must interact well with all kinds of people, perform complex automated procedures, and have an associate's degree or equivalent and prior successful work experience. Public service or library experience and maximum scheduling availability preferred.

The Library Associate provides prompt and friendly service to children, teens, and their caregivers. The Associate performs reference and reader’s advisory service and helps customers with technology needs. The position includes programming for children and teens and supports a variety of departmental tasks.

The positions duties are to coordinate current activities while supervising library staff, maintaining standards and procedures for circulation, periodicals, customer account maintenance and outreach, check-in/checkout and delivery of materials, material selection and interlibrary loans.
